Terms of use and sale
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms apply when you use any of our apps and when you buy something directly on this website. Buying means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to hide things.
1. Who you are contracting with
The seller is Steps Battle, contact [email protected]. Full details in the legal notice.
2. What we sell
All of it is digital content delivered immediately, tied to your watch or your account:
- WatchTrace Premium — a fixed period (for example 30 days or 1 year) during which the Premium features are switched on.
- In-app currency — coins in Steps Battle and Lava Escape, and cosmetic items in Lava Escape.
Coins and cosmetic items have no value outside the app. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts or between apps.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in euros and include VAT. See VAT and invoicing.
- The price that applies is the one shown on the purchase page at the moment you place the order. We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already placed.
- Bank transfer: you place an order, we give you a reference, and you make the transfer quoting that reference. Your purchase is activated when the money arrives, normally within one working day. Orders not paid within 30 days are cancelled.
- Card: when card payment is available it is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Any bank fees your own bank charges for the transfer are yours.
4. Delivery
Delivery is electronic and automatic: as soon as the payment is confirmed, the Premium days are added to your device or the coins to your account, and you get a confirmation email. Nothing is shipped.
If a payment arrives and nothing is activated within 48 hours, write to us with your reference and we will fix it or refund you.
5. Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content — unless you ask us to deliver it immediately and accept that you lose that right, which is what the checkbox at checkout is for. The whole thing is explained in the refund policy.
6. Your account and your device
Your identity in our apps is tied to your watch. Keep your account details to yourself: anyone who has them can use what you bought. If you lose access to your watch, write to us and we will try to help, but we cannot always move purchases to a different device.
We can suspend an account that abuses the service — cheating, tampering with the data the watch sends, automating step counts, attacking the servers or abusing other players. In serious cases we do so without a refund, and we will always tell you why.
7. Availability and changes
These are small apps run by one person. We keep them online as best we can, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and free features may be added or reorganised.
If we ever shut down a paid feature while you have an active Premium period, you get back the unused part of what you paid.
8. Safety — read this if you use WatchTrace
9. Liability
We are liable for damage we cause by not meeting these terms, as the law provides. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost data on your watch, or consequences of using the apps outside their purpose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud.
10. Personal data
Each app has its own privacy policy, because each one handles different data. You will find it linked at the bottom of each app's website.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
Write to [email protected] first — most things are solved in one email. If you are a consumer in the EU and we cannot agree, you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Applicable law
Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may sue in the courts of your own domicile.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published when you make it, and the date at the top tells you which that is.
