Outrun the lava. Survive the month. Keep your streak.
How it works
- 🌋The chase. A wall of lava creeps forward every day. Your steps this month are your distance ahead of it — walk more than the lava and you live.
- 🏁Survive. Reach the safe zone (the month's step goal) before the month ends and you're safe for good: streak +1 and your name on the Wall.
- 🎯Daily goal. Each day you get a small, doable step target that scales with the month's difficulty. Hit it to earn coins and build a daily streak — a quick win every single day, whether or not you're winning the month.
- 🔄Reborn every month. When the month ends, everyone starts over from zero — and the lava may be harsher or gentler than last month. Survivors keep their streak; if the lava got you and you didn't revive, your streak resets to 0.
- 💰The Survivors' Bonus. Reach the safe zone and earn a coin bonus at month end — and the more players escape, the more every survivor earns (up to 5,000 if everyone makes it). You never win by others failing: help people survive and you all get richer. Top walkers get an extra bonus.
- 🪙Earn coins by playing (no need to pay): +150 each day you hit your daily goal, +2,000 when you survive the month, and a coin bonus on each streak milestone. These are guaranteed — on top of the Survivors' Bonus above.
- 👟Spend coins on a +500-step boost when the lava gets close, on runner icons / name colors, or on the community wall.
- 🔥Caught? You have 48h in EMBER. If the lava gets you, don't panic: for 48 hours you can walk your way back for FREE — reach the lava line again on foot and you're revived with your streak intact, no coins spent. In a hurry? Revive with coins to jump ahead instantly (costs more the longer you wait). Out of coins? Keep walking or buy some.
- 🤝Help each other. Give your spare steps to a player about to fall (you drop back a little, and earn XP), or revive a caught runner for coins. Stuck yourself? Ask everyone for help. Fair play: steps you receive or buy keep you alive but don't earn coins, XP or rank — only the steps you actually walk do. You can also challenge rivals to glory duels — most steps wins, for bragging rights, no coins.
- 🌊Lava Waves. Now and then a surge hits by surprise (announced 2-3 days ahead): the lava speeds up hard, rising over 24h. It won't wipe you instantly — push your steps those days to build margin, or lean on the wall.
- 🧱The community wall. Everyone chips coins to build a shared wall by materials. Only a fully-built material slows the next wave for everyone: finish 🪵 Wood → wave −10%, 🪨 Stone → −25%, ⛏️ Iron → −40%, 🖤 Obsidian → −65%. A half-built material does nothing, and it only helps during a wave. And contributing pays you too: every 1,000 coins you put in become ~420 extra steps of personal lead + 10 XP, plus the 🛡️ Defender badge by your name all season.
- 🎖️Level up by walking (rank badge next to your name), climb the Hall of Fame, and top the Wall with the longest streak. Difficulty rotates each month (Easy → Brutal).
